Spain Business Hours
In Spain business hours are from 9-2pm, followed by a 'siesta', and 5-8pm, Monday to Friday. However there are some variations across Spain's different regions. Most businesses remain closed on Sundays. The business hours for shops, departmental stores is much the same, and may be open till 10pm. Big stores, supermarkets may open sometimes on Sundays also.
Restaurants in Spain open from 1pm to4pm for lunch and then between 8pm to midnight. Banks and government institutions may not open for afternoon sessions. During summer they start early and close by 2pm. Pharmacies in Spain open from 9.30am to 1.30pm and from 4.30pm to 8pm, while in big cities some are open 24 hours. Some petrol stations in Spain are also open at all hours.
