Spain has an unusual eating timetable and does not feature a sumptuous breakfast, consisting of coffee, toast slice with jam and a pastry or churros.
Torrijas, Spain's version of bread pudding is also quite popular.
The lunch in Spain starts late, between 2pm -3 pm. A menu or meal of the day, comprising a three course meal, is a good economical option for tourists to have lunch in Spain. First two plates might serve separately vegetables and meat, followed by bread, a drink and a dessert.
For once course meal in Spain you can order a 'Platos Combinados' or you can simply try Spain's popular tapas, which are served everywhere in restaurants, cafés and bars. Because of hefty meals and snacks through the day, Spaniards finds lighter evening meals and dinner as its norm.
Dinner in Spain starts around 9-10pm and goes on till 2-3am in weekends.
Tapa is again a good option here. Otherwise you have to order de la carta for dinner in Spain's restaurants, which is also much more expensive than lunch.
Other options include ración(single item plates), 'para picar,' etc.
Spain has good vegetarian dishes too, such as paella vegetariana and vegetarian tapas.
