Festivals and Events in Spain

Spain is filled with innumerable local and national festival, during spring and summer especially. They range from celebration of harvests, local saint's days across Spain, theater, dance and music festivals, carnival and many more.
La Tomatina is a most unique festival of Spain, held every year in Bunol, Valencia, with 30,000 people engaging in a tomato fight in a sea of tomatoes over 240,000. The April Fair or Feria de Abril at Seville, Andalucia is a spirited fair with flamenco singers and dancers in full flow. The bull running at Pamplona is another distinct traditional event of Spain. The Semana Santa (Holy Week) is a significant Catholic festival of Spain whereas Las Fallas is a spectacular celebration of St. Joseph's Day.
